Wong Kar Wai's latest masterpiece is just that, a masterpiece. Every shot, a beautiful assault on my eyes. I loved how it was really a wide format film. This just has to be appreciated in a cinema and not on a television. Every frame was half filled or half blur, with the other side focusing on an object, space or character. Lately, his films tend to linger a little longer, trailing cigarette smoke from In the Mood for Love is semi-replicated here.
